J&K Bank conducts DLRCC meeting in Anantnag

To review the performance of banks and concerned departments in Anantnag district for the first quarter of current financial year under District Credit Action Plan - 2021-22, J&K Bank today conducted District Level Review cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) meeting that was chaired by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Wani.

Those present at the meeting included LDM Anantnag Mohammad Afaaq, DM NABARD, Cluster Heads of J&K Bank, Regional Manager EDB, District Coordinators of all banks and District Officers of the line departments along with District coordinator NRLM Anantnag.

On the occasion, the LDM informed the house that during the quarter under review the banks have disbursed Rs 504.82 Cr to 20813 beneficiaries against the target of Rs 3466.87 Cr thereby achieving 15 % of target in financial terms.

He added that under the priority sectors, the banks have disbursed Rs 326.69 Cr to  10787 beneficiaries out of which Rs 224.68 Cr have been disbursed to 7843 beneficiaries  under Agriculture & Allied sectors and Rs 81.33 Cr to 2192 beneficiaries under MSME,  while as  10026 beneficiaries have received Rs 178.13 Cr under non-priority sector achieving 29 % of the targets. The house was further informed that that the district recorded deposits of Rs 6444.42 Cr and the advances of Rs 4487.09 Cr at the end of the June quarter with CD Ratio of 69.63 %.

Chairman DLRCC stressed upon the bankers to focus on agriculture and allied sectors to involve unemployed youth in dairy, sheep farming, fish farming for which they can avail the subsidy benefits under various welfare schemes being implemented in the district. He also assured support from district administration for establishment of Agriculture-processing units in agriculture and allied sectors particularly in animal, sheep husbandry and fisheries.

Besides advising Agriculture Department and Banks to ensure 100% saturation in KCC, he urged the participants to increase public awareness in urban and rural areas about Welfare & Employment oriented programs.

On the occasion, DM NABARD discussed preparation of Potential Linked Plan for the year 2022-23.
