J&K Bank distributes ration in Udhampur and Rajouri Zones

Co-ordinates with district administration for safety and relief measures

In view of COVID-19 outbreak and the subsequent lockdowns, Chairman & MD, R. K. Chibber directed all Zonal Heads to proactively discharge their duties of social responsibility by helping poor and needy people in this hour of crisis.

On this outline bank has taken the initiative to come out with contribution for the weaker sections of the society by providing dry ration items, masks and sanitizers. Based on the list provided by the district administration, Zonal Head Sushil Gupta and Cluster Head Rajesh Gupta in presence of ADDC Udhampur Ashok Kumar and ACD Mushtaq Ahmed distributed dry ration among 80 needy families in Sattani area of District Udhampur and also provided ration to more than 20 families through Business unit Ghordi at Barmeen area.

In these tough times, JK Bank Zonal Office Udhampur and district administration has been continuously working under the guidance of Dr. Piyush Singla (IAS) , Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur for smooth distribution of relief money in a hassle free way by maintaining social distances/providing chairs/water etc wherever possible.

Moreover remote Business units have been provided with hand-made masks and sanitizers to distribute among the poor and needy customers. Further to mitigate the risk involved due to COVID-19 fumigation/sanitization of all establishments of the Bank has been done on a regular basis.

Meanwhile, following up on the directions of CMD to reach out to the poorest and the needy during the national lockdown post-Covid 19, the bank’s Zonal Head Jammu west Ashutosh Sareen along with the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri distributed dry ration, sanitizers and masks to the homeless laborers and daily wagers.

“Being an integral part of the social fabric of this region, the bank has always been sensitive towards the weaker and vulnerable sections of the society. Acting upon the directions from our leadership, we distributed the essentials among 100 poor families during the drive in co-ordination with the district administration”, said the Zonal Head on the occasion. The beneficiaries hailed the Bank for the generous gesture.
