J&K Bank commissions 2 ATMs in Reasi, concludes PMEGP training program at RSETI Ganderbal

J&K Bank commissioned two Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in Reasi, one at Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) of J&K Police at Talwara, Reasi and the other at District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi.

SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir inaugurated the ATM at DPL Reasi whereas the ATM at Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) of J&K Police at Talwara, Reasi was inaugurated by Principal STC Talwara Anil Kumar Katoch in presence of Zonal Head Jammu North II (Udhampur) Sushil Kumar Gupta, Cluster Head Reasi Rajesh Dubey, Dy SP Mumtaz Ali Bhatti amid a good number of personnel from DPL Reasi and STC Talwara besides other officers of the bank. The network of ATMs in district Reasi has gone up to 32 while as the number in the zone has reached to 67.

SSP Reasi and Principal STC Talwara, both, appreciated the efforts of the bank for providing hassle free services to the society and also thanked the management for providing round the clock ATM facility at DPL Reasi and STC Talwara as it would be beneficial to the police personnel stationed at the complex and the locals of the area.

 “We are committed to providing hi-tech services to our customers at their nearest possible place across the Union Territory”, said the Zonal Head on the occasion, adding, “expansion of Branch and ATM network for the maximum convenience of the people was in line with the vision of Chairman and Managing Director of the bank”

He also advised the concerned Branch Heads to educate the police personnel about do’s and don’ts for proper handling of ATM Cards to mitigate different risks. He urged those present on the occasion to avail the banking services meant for their empowerment and financial support. The police personnel present on the occasion expressed gratitude and commended the bank for the initiative.

Meanwhile, the bank’s Rural Self-employment Training Institute Ganderbal concluded a 10-day training programme, of the 96th batch, under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), wherein 50 unemployed youth from different areas of the district like Beehama, Wangat, Chunt Waliwar, Nunner and Dab Ganderbal participated. Pertinently, the RSETI Ganderbal has trained 226 candidates under PMEGP since April 2019.

The bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir Central-II Syed Shujaat Hussain Andrabi, who was chief guest on the occasion, chaired the valedictory function that was attended by the District Co-coordinator KVIC Riyaz Ahmad, LDM/Director RSETI Ganderbal Munshi Iftikhar Gaazi and a good number of officers from various concerned departments of the Government.

Urging the trained entrepreneurs to take full advantage of the training sessions conducted at the institute and setting up their units with the financial and other support forthcoming from the banks and the government, Zonal Head said, “RSETIs play a substantial role in entrepreneurship development in the state as entrepreneurs must have proper training to capitalize on their strengths and translate their dreams into real success.”

Congratulating all the candidates and expressing satisfaction about the working of RSETIs he further said “RSETIs, besides providing training to various candidates forwarded by government agencies like KVIB, DIC & KVIC, make strenuous efforts in identifying financially poor candidates for trainings in various vocational courses encouraging them to be a part of self-employment initiatives”

 Earlier LDM Ganderbal highlighted the role of J&K bank saying, “The bank has always been on the forefront in the upliftment of downtrodden, poor unemployed youth in line with the government’s RSETI mission”

Towards the end of function, Zonal Head distributed certificates among the trainees on their successful completion of the training.
