Sporting spirit wins J&K Bank team praises, prizes
Congratulating J&K Bank team for lifting the Sher-i-Kashmir Gold Cup, Chairman & CEO Mushtaq Ahmad announced a cash prize of Rs 21,000 to each player and other officials associated with the team.
The Chairman in a message said, "The recent make-over of the team has augured well for its future and we hope the team shall continue to showcase the spirit of teamwork, discipline and commitment as are hallmarks of their parent organisation."
From appearance to their action in the field, they bear the torch of J&K Bank, he added.
State Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, distributed the prizes among teams. He was all raise for the winning team.
Besides better footwork of the players the recently designed apparels of the J&K Bank team also attracted admirations from the crowd at GGM Science College stadium.
"Today, J&K Bank team really looks like a team representing the only listed company from the state. Uniform is not only an expression of discipline but a brand experience of champions for onlookers", said Toufeequl-hassan a management graduate from Jammu.
Meanwhile, praises kept pouring in for the team for lifting the 3rd Sher-i-Kashmir Gold Cup beating JK Police in the finals by four goals to two (4-2) at GGM Science College Jammu.
Chairman Bank's Sports Board Tafazal Hussain congratulated the entire team and wished them luck for their future tournaments.
JK Bank Officers Association Jammu also announced cash prize of Rupees five thousand to the winning team.
