J&K Bank commissioned a new Business Unit (BU) at village Sanjak in Chiktan tehsil of Kargil district ahead of the upcoming Losar festival that marks the beginning of the New Year and is considered to be the most important festival of the region of Ladakh.

The bank’s In-charge Zonal Head Ladakh Tsewang Dorjai inaugurated the new BU in presence of valuable customers, senior citizens, local businessmen and officers of the bank.
“We are pleased to dedicate the new Business Unit to the people of the area especially before Losar festival. The bank remains committed to provide state-of-the-art banking facilities and best-in-class customer service to people of the region irrespective of their location, thereby, empowering them financially and helping develop their local economy”, the In-charge Zonal Head said after inaugurating the BU.

The locals present on the occasion expressed their gratitude towards the bank management for opening the business unit in the area and extending formal banking services to facilitate their economic progress.

Notably, this is the bank's 14th BU in Kargil Cluster and 35th in the Ladakh Zone, where 35 Easy Banking Units of the bank are also functioning. With this the network of bank’s BUs has gone up to 948.
