Sakina Itoo, Minister for Social Welfare inaugurates JK Bank ATM at Damhal Hanjipora
To further enhance customer outreach and provide IT enabled services to the remote corners of the state, J&K Bank today dedicated one more ATM to the people at Damhal Hanjipora, a remote village in Kulgam district.
Sakina Itoo, Minister for Social Welfare inaugurated the machine amidst huge gathering of customers and officials of the Bank including Mohammed Afzal Khan, Bank's Zonal Head for Kashmir South, Mushtaq Ahmed, Bank's Cluster Head, M S Aiyaz, Director RSETI, Kulgam and Mohammed Amin, head B/U Damhal Hanjipora.
In her address, Sakina Itoo appreciated the Bank's contribution towards economic development of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. "Relentless efforts of the Bank's management and staff in changing the economic landscape of the state and its people are not only appreciative but inspiring too", she said.
J&K Bank has devised comprehensive and customized solutions for economic needs of the people with a broader goal of socio-economic empowerment of the people here, Sakina said while urging the people to change their "lethargic attitude and stick-to-government-job mindset".
She urged people to take benefit from the Bank's schemes and services to usher a positive change in their lives. "Bank's schemes and government's employment generation schemes including Sher-i-Kashmir Enterprenuership Welfare Programme for Youth are the best launching pads for our youth but they need to come forward and enquire about these schemes to realize their potential", she said.
Itoo further asked the youth to attend Bank's Rural Self Employment Taining Institutes (RSETIs) for getting the proper and professional counselling before availing facility of finance and starting entreprenuerial ventures.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammed Afzal Khan urged the people to take maximum possible benefit from the high-tech services being provided by the Bank. "It is your Bank. All its products and services are designed to make your lives better. Avail them to the best of your capacities to change your fortunes", he said.
With the inauguration of this ATM, Bank's ATM strength in the state has touched 350 and in Kulgam we have now 8 ATMs to serve you, Khan said while emphasizing that the Bank had taken the initiative of massive ATM expansion to realize the Chairman J&K Bank Mushtaq Ahmad's vision of taking IT enabled banking solutions to the remotest places of the state to enhance customer delivery mechanism.
