RSETI Rajouri inaugurated
J&K Bank yesterday inaugurated Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) at Rajouri, where unemployed youth of the district will be trained for self- employment ventures through updated information and skill enhancement.
District Development Commissioner, Rajouri G A Khwaja inaugurated the institute in presence of JK Bank Zonal Head Jammu (West) R K Chhibber. Among others present on the occasion included Project Officer DRDA Rajouri Harvinder Kour, Tehsildar Rajouri Kulbhushan Khajuria, LBO Rajouri Arvind Kapoor and Director RSETI Harjinder Singh Sasan.
Congratulating the Bank, Khwaja welcomed the establishment of such Institutes especially the RSETI at Rajouri as per the stated guidelines.
Stressing upon the youth of the district to avail the trainings so that they can start their own business ventures, he said "Such training institutes are important for nurturing the entrepreneurship among state youth to create the culture of self employment. We appreciate the incredible efforts of JK Bank's leadership in this direction."
He also informed the large gathering that local administration will soon identify the land for institute in district Rajouri for setting up its own building.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head of the Bank dwelt in detail upon various steps the Bank has taken in the form of RSETI's to institutionalize entrepreneurship in J&K State.
He said, "Establishment of RSETI's testifies our commitment to nurture the culture of entrepreneurship here. Moreover, we will hand hold the participants and guide them in future also.''
He further stressed upon the youth of the district to avail the opportunity under government sponsored SKEWPY for availing loans to establish their viable units.
He advised the youth to establish their units in Dairy, Sheep rearing etc., as government was not in a position to provide the job to every youth.
Soon after inauguration, the camp on ‘Cutting, Tailoring & stitching' commenced at the Institute to unemployed women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) during which DDC also interacted with the trainees.
Earlier, in his welcome address Director RSETI highlighted the aims and objectives of the RSETI, which he said was to train rural youth including those from BPL for self employment.
The institute, he said, would provide need based training programmes, Intensive short -term residential self-employment training programmes with free food and accommodation, hand holding support for assured credit linkage with Banks Arvind Kapoor LBO of the J & K Bank, Rajouri presented vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and guests.
