NEW YEAR GIFT:Shopian gets another ATM
With the purpose of expanding the network of ATMs in the state, J&K Bank today dedicated a state-of-the-art Automated Teller Machine (ATM) for public service in Shopian town.
The ATM was bestowed as a New Year gift for the people of the town to facilitate fast, smooth and secure financial service.
District Development Commissioner, Abdul Majid Khanday and President J&K Bank, Parvez Ahmad jointly inaugurated the machine amid an impressive gathering of valuable customers of the bank, senior citizens and some senior government officials.
Appreciating the role of J&K Bank in the economical upliftment hence empowerment of the people of state Abdul Majid Khanday said, "J&K Bank has been sensitive to the financial and economical needs of people and has always responded positively and generously".
Speaking on the occasion, Parvez Ahmad felicitated the people of Shopian town for getting another ATM. He urged the people of town to come forward with viable projects/activities for economic growth of the area assuring them Bank will extend every possible help for these projects/activities.
Bashir Ahmad Lone zonal head south emphasized the importance of ATM and its benefits for the customers. He said, "The basic motive behind the installations of ATMs is to reduce foot fall at the business units and enhance the quality of service".
The inaugural function was attended by a cross section of society including G. R. Bhat (Cluster Head South-IV) who presented vote of thanks and other bank officials. President Shopian Fruit Growers Association, M. Amin appreciated the role of J&K Bank in the economic upliftment of the state.
