Khidmat Centres to offer On-line Coaching
J&K Bank today launched the on-line coaching service for competitive exams in engineering and medical courses through its khidmat Centres being set up under the Common Service Centre Project. The service has been started in association with E-Resolute, a Srinagar based Technology Company.
The service was launched by President, CSC/FID J&K Abdul Rashid in presence of Project Incharge CSC Project Khursheed A Pandit and Senior Executive Manager, CSC Project G M Rather and Kashif A Khan, Chief Executive, E-Resolute.
The launch was also attended by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE) who will be offering the service at front end.
Speaking on the occasion, President Abdul Rashid said, "After having established almost 700 khidmat centres, it is time now to focus on utilizing these centres for providing such services to rural populations so that they could actually benefit from the Common Service Centre project of Government of India (GoI).
"It is in this direction the Bank has launched this service today, besides appointing the VLEs running the centres as Business Correspondents to enable these centres become agents of social and economic progress across the rural landscape of the state" , he added.
Present on the occasion Khursheed A Pandit said, "The service shall be initially available on pilot-basis through 75 Khidmat Centres set up in District Anantnag by J&K Bank and later depending on the feedback shall be extended to all the 600 Khidmat Centres presently active in the state."
Kashif A Khan said "We are happy to launch this service through J&K Bank run Khidmat Centres that we understand as the best platform to start first-of-its-kind service in the state.
"The student can register for any of the two courses for Rs.500 or both for Rs.700 and his registration will be valid for one full year. After registering for the course, student can also access course contents through internet anywhere besides being able access exam papers of previous five years and also being able to take on-line mock tests. The student can further access the information with regard to various colleges, universities and examinations from the portal", he added.
Depending on the success of this service, Khan further said that, E-Resolute in association with J&K Bank , would further explore the possibility of extending other services like on-line mobile and DTH re-charges, e-ticketing, on-line health services, e-commerce services etc through Khidmat Centres.
