J&K Bank's campaign of ATM expansion continues : Frontier district Kupwara gets two more ATMs
Going ahead with its policy of extending world-class banking services to the people of far-flung areas of the state, J&K Bank today pressed 2 more ATMs into public service at Sogam and Trehgam in frontier district of Kupwara.
Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, a retired Zonal Education Officer and a senior client of the bank (since 1979), inaugurated the ATM at Sogam while as by District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Mohamamd Shafi Rather did the honours at Trehgam in presence of Bank's President Tafazal Hussain, Zonal Head (North) Nazir Ahmad Parimoo and scores of valuable customers, local traders, senior citizens of the area.
Addressing the gathering at Sogam, Tafazal Hussain gave a brief overview of the Bank's performance and its policies.
He said, "Customer convenience remains the foremost priority of the bank and the installation of ATMs will certainly save the precious time of public and minimize the footfall of customers at the business units thereby ushering in the best service delivery systems of the bank. The ATMs allow you round the clock access to your precious money."
Addressing those present at the inaugural ceremony at Trehgam, DDC Kupwara lauded the role that the bank has been playing in shaping the financial destiny of the people of state.
Inviting the attention of bank's leadership towards few areas of concern he said, "There is enough room for network expansion in the frontier district and vast scope for posting of additional staff to enable extension of prompt and better customer services by the bank".
Present on the occasion, President of the bank Tafazal Hussain assured the gathering that the bank is committed to improve its customer services and said, "The bank is in the process of implementing segregation of services into business operations and social sector operations."
This, he said, shall help streamline the customer services by ensuring focused service to each segment with utmost efficiency, speed for achieving customers' delight.
Zonal head, while thanking all the people present on the occasion DDC for attending the inaugural ceremony despite their important engagements.
The Zonal Head also requested the D.C to advise the sponsoring agencies to send sponsored cases periodically on monthly basis which were presently being sent at the fag-end of the financial year.
People of both the areas appreciated the dedication of the bank staff and hailed the efforts of bank to bring ease and comfort in the public services though technology.
