J&K Bank has won the prestigious Financial Express Best Banks Awards in the Old Private Sector Banks category for scaling up its business and strengthening the balance for the year ended March 2011. The Award is the recognition of the Bank's innovative approach towards business, both within and outside J&K. Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman & CEO, J&K Bank received the coveted trophy at the hands of Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee at a grand function held at Mumbai.
"The Award is an inspiration for future and recognition of our past. It is the recognition of our innovative approach towards business", said Mushtaq Ahmad.
Dedicating the Award to all the stakeholders of the Bank Mushtaq said, "The award is result of the hardwork of our employees and the recognition of the trust and confidence of our customers, investors and all other stakeholders in the J&K Bank".
Pertinently, J&K Bank has undertaken a massive expansion plan and has set for itself an impressive business target of Rupees One Lac Crore and a net profit target of Rs.1000 crore by financial year ending March 2013, which coincides with platinum jubilee year.
