JK Bank trainee footballers win exhibition match at Zindshah Sports Ground
A team of young footballers recently adopted by J&K Bank under its talent hunt programme in Kashmir and being trained under the aegis of J&K Bank Sports Board displayed examplery skills in an exhibition football match at the inauguration of Zindshah Sports ground and pavilion at Rainawari Srinagar. They beat local Rainawari team by 5-3 in presence of Minister for Rural Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Commissioner SMC, Sheikh Mushtaq, other government dignitaries and Bank's Sports Board officials.
After 1-1 draw at the end of first half, the J&K Bank team of probables displayed aggressive football skills and received cheers all around. Yawar Hayat made an equalizer for the Bank after Showkat Sultan put the lead for home team. The match was decided in tie-breaker as no team could score more in the second half. The match ended with score 5-3 in favour of J&K Bank.
Pleased with the performance, Secretary Bank's Sports Board, Mohammad Amin Khan gave cash prize to the winning young footballers.
