J&K Bank starts Registration for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2011
J&K Bank has started registration for this year's Shri Amarnathji Yatra. A total of 2,12,000 yatris will be registered for the holy Yatra through various centres of the Bank spread across length & breadth of the country. Besides, e-registration facilities have also been provided through bank's website at http://yatra.jkbank.net for yatris desirous of seeking online registration. A total of 500 permits per day per route will be issued totaling about 45,500 online bookings for the Yatra.
Madan Gupta, Bank's Vice President and Zonal Head for Jammu Central formally inaugurated the registration process from Bank's counter at Residency Road, Jammu today.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta reiterated the Bank's commitment towards social causes and peoples' convenience.
Yatris can get themselves registered for any day of Yatra strictly as per ‘first come, first serve' basis, he said.
The registration shall be made through 121 designated branches of the Bank across the country. In Jammu division, the registration facilities shall also be available at Bakshi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kathua Main, Udhampur, Ramban, Rajouri Main, Poonch and Doda Main business units of the bank. An average of 280 yatris will be registered through these branches per day with 140 each for Baltal & Pahalgam routes.
The timimg of registration will be after normal banking hours between 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on all working days. However, on Saturdays it will done from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
