J&K Bank RSETI Kupwara begins 5th skill development course
J&K Bank RSETI Kupwara started its 5th ‘Skill Development Training Programme' on knitting attended by three Self Help Groups from Gagal and Lassipora. All the trainees belong to Below Poverty Line and have been identified and sponsored by DRDA, Kupwara for a 10-day programme.
J&K Bank Cluster Head Mohammad younis Pattoo inaugurated the training programme.
Director institute Mohammad Afzal Shah welcomed the trainees and introduced them to the Bank executives and government officials present on the occassion.
Addressing the trainees, Cluster Head impressed upon them to take the training seriously for it would help them in establishing their individual and group ventures thereby supplementing the income of their families and providing employment opportunities to others as well.
Director institute in his remarks assured the trainees of enhancing their technical skills, making them familiar with banking transactions, maintaining of group records and finally boosting their low esteem and self-confidence. The idea of creating RSETIs, he said, was to impart entrepreneurship and skill development trainings to rural unemployed youth force and to motivate them to prefer self-employment over wage-employment.
