J&K Bank RSETI Kulgam concluded 10-day course on handicrafts
J&K Bank RSETI Kulgam concluded a ten-day course in handicrafts (chain stitch) under its Entrepreneurship Development Programme, wherein 32 candidates sponsored by DRDA under SGSY and SHG participated.
This was the second batch of candidates who were imparted training during the current financial year.
In the valedictory function L.B.O. Kulgam G. M. Dar and Director JKBRSETI Shopian Aejaz Ahmad Banday were also present.
Besides skill up-gradation, during the course the trainees were instructed and informed about key concepts related to establishing any kind of business like product quality, marketing, customer retention, value addition and banking.
The trainees expressed satisfaction about the course which they said made them aware about the real aspects of business and markets.
Speaking on the occasion, Director JKBRSETI Kulgam Mohammad Shafi Ayaz said, "The training programmes are attracting more and more unemployed youth of the district which is evident from the fact that 74 of them have applied for trainings in future.
He said that efforts were on to impart training to all the interested within the available time frame and as per annual calendar of trainings.
He further added that the 30 candidates who have been imparted training during last year have been linked to banks and all of them have availed the credit facility from banks and established their units.
