J&K Bank restores Business unit at Larnoo
Operations of J&K Bank Business Unit (B/U), Larnoo, Anantnag were restored at its original place in a state-of-the-art building loaded with world class technology. The B/U was functioning at Vailoo for the past 23 years after it was shifted from Larnoo due to unavoidable circumstances.
The B/U at Larnoo was inaugurated by Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Zonal Head, Kashmir (South)in presence of J&K Bank cluster Head Zafar Ahmad Makhdoomi at an impressive function which was attended a large number of general public and some dignitaries from different departments. Local Auqaf representatives were also present on the occasion.
The Business Unit Larnoo was formally opened for public after a gap of about twenty three years. The populace of the area was thankful to the bank authorities for taking the request of the people to its logical conclusion by shifting back the Business unit to Larnoo.
In his address, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Zonal President Kashmir ( South) appreciated the efforts of people in helping the bank to restore its operations at Larnoo and assured them that the bank is committed to provide world class banking facilities to the people of this remote and economically weaker area. He introduced the people to different schemes of the Bank and made a fervent appeal to the people to take advantage of these scheme meant to uplift the people economically and socially especially the educated youth of the area who will be given all possible financial help from the Bank to explore self employment opportunities.
He also requested the people to avail the benefits of the Government Sponsored schemes particularly the self employment schemes/SKEWPY and assured them that the bank would provide hassle free loan to them for establishing the income generating units.
Speaking on the occasion the Cluster Head Zaffar Ahmad Makhdoomi said, "We now feel privileged and happy that the operations have been restored in a state of the art premises with state of art technology. He assured the gathering that all steps would be taken to give best customer service to the clientele of the Bank at Larnoo.
On behalf of President of the local Auqaf, Organiser Master Gh Rasool thanked all the participants especially the Bank for having made possible the shifting of the Business unit back to Larnoo.
