J&K Bank registering 6000 yatris a day : No registration for yatra via Chandanwari up to June 25
While undertaking the task of the registration of Amarnath yatris, the J&K Bank has established several service counters since May 20, across the country to facilitate the smooth enrollment for pilgrimage. Now that the yatra schedule has underwent many changes due to the adverse weather conditions near the Amarnath Cave. With regard to change of route/ darshan date, the bank would make the adjustments without asking for further charges subject to availability of quota for that particular date and route.
The registration and re-registration of the yatris through the Bank is already going on throughout the country but the bulk of registrations are done from the twin cities of Srinagar and Jammu. While an exclusive Bank counter has been established at Exhibition Grounds, Jewel Chowk, Jammu , a mobile ATM has been pressed into service for the pilgrims at Yatri Bhawan, Bharwati Nagarin, Jammu. Similarly, Air Cargo and Dalgate branches of the Bank in Srinagar city are also providing the registration and other related facilities to the pilgrims. Remember, the two branches are located in the vicinity of the Tourist Reception Centre and as such are easily accessible and extremely convenient for the pilgrims.
