J&K Bank, RBI organize customer awareness programme
Taking forward its state-wide financial literacy campaign, J&K Bank, in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) organized a financial literacy and awareness programme at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary Institute Baramulla today.
With a clear understanding of the purpose of such programmes, people especially students were enthusiastic to aware themselves of the basics of finances. Among others present on the occasion included RK Meena (AGM) RBI, Muzaffar Hussain, Lead Bank Manager, Baramulla, F.A.Gojwari Lead Bank officer, principal, teachers and scores of students of the institute.
In his address RK Meena (AGM) RBI highlighted the role and functions of Reserve Bank Of India, Banks Ombudsman Scheme, unscruplous emails, fradulent operations of ATMs, features of geneuine Currency Notes, Monetary policy of RBI, fundamentals of inflation, deficit finance,etc.
Speaking on the occasion Muzaffar Hussain said that such awareness programmes help people acorss all business activities in taking informed and viable decisions.
A quiz competition was also held in which all the students participated with full enthusiasm & prizes were distributed among the winners.
Pertinently, to make bank-customer interaction more broadbased and result oriented, the Bank's Chairman & CEO, Mushtaq Ahmad had earlier this year, announced the launch of a fullfledged financial literacy campaign with special emphasis on organizing of customer meets and awareness programmes.
