J&K Bank organizes mega customer meet in Ganderbal
With a view to get a first-hand feedback from its clients about the services provided, J&K Bank organized a mega customer meet at town hall in Ganderbal yesterday. The meet was attended by a cross-section of customers from across the district Ganderbal representing traders, employees, entrepreneurs, pensioners and others.
The meeting was presided over by the Zonal Head, Kashmir (Central), Abdul Hamid Banday.
The representatives of valuable customers who spoke on the occasion were Ahmadullah Malik of B/U Dudarhama, Mohd. Asim Bhat of B/U Safapora, Sheikh Ajaz Ahmad, President Traders Association, Fayaz Ahmad of B/U Chhundina, Mohd. Subhan Shah of B/U Laar, Haji Ab Razak of B/U Waqura and Gh. Hassan Para, President Traders Association Ganderbal.
The customers hailed the dedication of the Bank staff while dealing with customers and expressed hope that they will improve in the areas of deficiency and lack. Almost 90% of the remarks made by the clients centered upon the problem of ‘staff shortage' in the Business Units which according to them affects the service delivery systems of these units badly.
Responding to the conversations Zonal Head Central Ab Hamid Banday thanked them for their valuable and in-time participation in the meeting which he said underscores their emotional attachment with J&K Bank.
He said, "The problem of staff shortage, as has surfaced here mostly in the guise of grievances, will be addressed sooner rather than later. The Bank has already taken various measures in this direction which includes its recently held examinations for recruitment on a massive scale."
Regarding some of the grievances about neglect of primary customer base on account of huge number of social-welfare accounts, he said the Bank is already on its way to segregate the commercial aspect of its banking services from its societal commitments.
"We are on the job to remove such operational bottlenecks in our customer service. We know it only well and shall take every step to ensure that no valuable client of ours suffers because of our other social commitments, "he said.
Rest of the issues raised in the meeting were addressed on the spot with the concerned BU Heads advised to take immediate and necessary action.
Earlier in his welcome address, Cluster Head North Mohammad Amin Khan made it clear to the participants that the meeting was convened to explore the conversations of mutual interest.
He said, "We are here for a kind of dialogue which aims to cement our relations and thereby increase our businesses. We also want to know about the kind of difficulties, if any, some of you face at times because of our service delivery.
Notably, a corporate film on the Bank was also screened on the occasion, which was hailed by the customers present in the meeting as informative and instructive.
Cluster Head presented the vote of thanks in the end.
