JK Bank opens Branch at Bugam
Going forward with its renewed business strategy to reach out to all (especially in J&K), JK Bank today opened yet another branch in Bugam area of the South Kashmir. This is the 13th branch in the district Kulgam, increasing the branch network strength of the bank to 560. The branch was inaugurated by Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami, General Secretary CPI (M). J&K Bank, President KK Sharma was also present on the occasion. Tarigami appreciated the bank for opening a branch in this remote part of the district. "I am hopeful that the branch will help in economic empowerment of this area and people will enjoy the best services of the bank," he said. KK Sharma, President of the Bank, while addressing the gathering said, "Customer convenience and our motto to empower people continue to remain our top priority. We are opening branches on public demand and will continue to expand our network." He urged upon the people to create a habit of saving. He also stressed the need for educating the rural people about the bank's tailor-made products and services so that the bank's vigorous efforts find their way to reach the intended publics. The people of the area have been demanding a JK Bank branch for a long time. The people of the area thanked the J&K Bank Management for paying heed to their demand. Around 50 accounts were opened on the first day. The branch manager, Altaf Habibullah thanked people and assured them of all possible cooperation.
