J&K Bank launches "I am Listening" campaign
J&K Bank today launched its first ever-proactive communication campaign at Corporate Headquarters. Chairman & CE of the bank Dr.Haseeb A Drabu inaugurated the campaign titled "I am listening" at the Bank's auditorium at Corporate Headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Drabu said " The purpose of the campaign is to bring the attitudinal shift and develop the culture of listening within the bank which will ultimately become the guiding principle for the larger civil society," He further added that listening patiently to someone not only gives him comfort but also solves half of his problem. Stating that people of J&K have emotional equity with J&K Bank, Dr. Drabu urged employees of the bank to inturn invest in the emotions of the people of J&K. "This campaign" he said "shall empower the clients and make them more conscious of their rights. It will also make them realize that bank has a responsibility towards them." Announcing that J&K Bank is much more than a bank, Chairman said that the bank over the last few years has made a deliberate attempt to get involved with J&K in terms of lending more and developing tailor made products for the local people & industry.
Stressing upon the employees he said, "it is a moral & social obligation to be conscious citizens apart from being prudent bankers. "It is obvious from banks financial strength that we are prudent bankers and that now it is our turn to be conscious citizens and lend a helping hand in socio-economic empowerment of the people of our state" Dr. Drabu added.
On the occasion a short film related to the campaign was also screened. The campaign initially launched in 12 branches in Srinager in the first phase is to be extended to all other branches of the bank within J&K. Executive Directors of the Bank A K Mehta , A M Mir, other executives, Zonal Heads and large number of bank officers were present on the occasion.
