J&K Bank KCC Mela reaches Khaag
Continuing with its efforts to reach out to farmers in the state thereby achieving its targets in Kissan Credit Card scheme during the current financial year, J&K Bank organized a KCC Mela at Government Higher Secondary School Khaag.
The mela was conducted by Cluster IV Budgam in collaboration with B/U Khaag.
The Bank's President and Zonal Head Bashir Ahmad Lone was the chief guest accompanied by Abdul Hamid Khan Cluster Head Budgam.
During the mela 449 cases were sanctioned involving an amount of Rs 2.75 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head said, "The Bank shall continue to extend all the possible financial help to the agriculture sector and all its allied industries so that the farmers across the state are really empowered to claim their due in the development of the state."
That's why we are trying to reach out to the farmers across the state with all our resources to empower them and improve their socio-economic conditions, he added.
Cluster Head Budgam highlighted the features of the scheme and initiatives taken by Bank for eradication of unemployment & upliftment of economically down trodden sections in the state especially in district Budgam.
On the occasion, the local participants and beneficiaries hailed the Bank's pro-active approach while processing the 449 cards for which sanctions were distributed amongst beneficiaries on spot by the Zonal Head.
Such camps will be organized in other blocks of the district at regular intervals.
