J&K Bank inaugurates 11 ATMs in J&K
While continuing its customer convenience programmes, J&K Bank added 11 more ATMs to its network today in the J&K state. This is for the first time 11 such machines were made operational in a single day by any bank in the state.
The feat was achieved by the Bank, with the inauguration of an ATM at Ikhwan Chowk, Srinagar, by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Mr. Basharat Ahmad Dhar. Mr. Basharat Ahmad Dhar, hailed the Bank's efforts in extending more and more customer-friendly initiatives.
Besides, ATM locations at Dalgate, Badami Bagh, Chanapora, Shalimar Bagh, Chadoora in Kashmir and in Panchtirthi, Akhnoor, Ramnagar, SMGS Hospital, Rajouri in Jammu were made operational for public use. The number of ATMs in Kashmir division has gone up to 75, while's in Jammu division it has reached to 45.
With a view to provide greater convenience and alternate channels to the customers, the bank has launched a slew of IT initiatives. The bank has so far issued over 2.70 lacs of debit cards.
Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Executive Director (Corporate Function) of the bank said, "The Bank is committed to extend banking services to its customer through state-of-the-art technology even in remote areas of the State." It is remarkable that over 280 branches of the bank are interconnected. 161 branches have been rolled over to Core Banking Solution.
