JK Bank holds customer meet in Handwara
In order to create awareness among people about various products and services offered by the J&K Bank, a customers meet was held under the Presidentship of Mr. N. D. Samnani, President of the Bank, in border town of Handwara today. A large number of customers belonging to Kupwara district attended the meet.
Mr. N. D. Samnani, highlighted various aspects of the bank's strategy aimed to achieve the overall economic development of the J&K State. "The Bank has been tailoring new products to suit its varied customer base. Recently, we restructured our Apple scheme so that sufficient finance is made available to the orchardists. The new Apple scheme will save the fruit growers from the clutches of the private money lenders whose exorbitant interest rates were squeezing their margins considerably," said Mr. Samnani.
It is worth mentioning that the Bank introduced Agri Term Loan scheme for small and marginal farmers. The customers were also apprised about the features of the scheme on the occasion. The scheme is hassle free and there is no need to give any kind of mortgage under the scheme.
Mr. Samnani, who was also accompanied by the bank's Vice President (North Kashmir) and some Branch Heads of the border district, also gave extensive details about various deposit schemes of Bank. "We have S/B Ujala scheme for people who have meager income. They can open the account by depositing just Rs.50. Basically, we have a policy to bring all people into the banking fold so that the benefits of banking are extended to all irrespective of their location and income levels," said Mr. Samnani.
The customers present on the occasion hailed the services rendered by the bank.
