J&K Bank holds awareness camp in Srinagar, Uri
With a view to make the unemployed rural youth aware about various avenues of self-employment besides purpose and activities of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), J&K Bank organised an awareness camp at Akhoon Mohalla Shalimar here in association with Fisheries Department (Dal Circle).
A large number of rural youth attended the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Director RSETI Srinagar gave a detailed overview about the RSETIs.
She informed the participants about vision, objectives, scope, trainings, selection of candidates and activity wise training programmes of the Institute.
Inspector Fisheries Department informed the participants about the role and schemes of Fisheries Department. Also present on the occasion, Facilitator FLCC Srinagar Nazir Ahmed educated the participants about various products, schemes of the bank and the importance of maintaining relationship with the banks through opening of accounts in the present scenario.
Director RSETI presented vote of thanks in the end.
Meanwhile, speaking at the awareness camp organised by the Department of Agriculture at Gingle in Uri block, the Bank's Facilitator FLCC Baramulla threw light on the role and objectives of FLCC centres.
He urged participants to cultivate the habit for savings and take advantage of products like agriculture loan, education loan and other self employment schemes for eradicating unemployment in the area.
Manager Lead Bank Office Baramulla spoke in detail about self help groups, fish ponds, vegetable cultivation and Kissan credit card.
He said, "Banks are playing an important role in the development of the community."
For recycling of funds timely repayment of loans was important as it ensured availability of funds in banks for overall development of economy, he added.
Kissan credit cards were distributed on the occasion.
The camp ended with the vote of thanks.
