J&K Bank hails customer's honesty
J&K Bank has highly appreciated an outstanding gesture of one of its customers for returning the excess cash to the bank.
An employee of the power development department and hailing from Dalgate area, Mohammed Ashraf Bawan, approached the Bank's CD Hospital branch with a cash withdrawal of Rs.30000/-. He was mistakenly handed over Rs.50000/- at the cash counter. Displaying sense of honesty and integrity, Bawan immediately returned the excess cash to the bank officials. "The money in the Bank is either a poor man's deposit, a businessman's livelihood or a pensioners hope and survival", said Bawan while returning the money to the bank.
While appreciating the act of honesty, the bank's vice president, Khursheed A Pandit, looking after customer care division of the bank, said that the incident reflects the level of trust that J&K Bank enjoys with its esteemed customers.
