J&K Bank establishes financial literacy centers, conducts camp at Kulgam
Taking a step forward in the direction of spreading financial education in the State, J&K Bank established Financial Literacy cum Credit Counseling Centers in Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipore, Rajouri, Kulgam, Shopian, Kupwara and Pulwama.
Meanwhile, J&K Bank Cluster III Kashmir (South) conducted a financial literacy camp at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kulgam.
District Development Commissioner Jahangir Mir was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Principal Higher Secondary School, Aijaz Ahmad welcomed all the participants to the financial literacy camp.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Kulgam said, "All the students here should cultivate the habit of saving and share the knowledge gained in camps like these with others."
He further said that a financially literate girl can provide basis for a financially sound society. He stressed upon the girl students to acquire financial knowledge which results in more stable communities.
Earlier, J&K Bank Cluster Head Mushtaq Ahmad Mir gave a detailed view of financial literacy, its importance particularly for the student community. He assured the students of all the help and guidance in this regard.
The camp concluded with a Power-point presentation in the main Conference Hall of the school.
The participants were made aware about the different Deposit and Advance products of the Bank.
