JK Bank employee returns Rs 2.5 lacs gold to customer
In an exemplary display of vigil and uprightness, J&K Bank employee Mohamamd Aslam Khan, posted at T P Baramulla, handed over a pouch that contained gold ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lacs to the Branch Head. The pouch was incidentally dropped by some customer in the branch premises. After ascertaining the owner of the pouch, it was handed over to him against a proper receipt and after proper verification.
"It is really a commendable act from J&K Bank staffer and it reinforced the trust we have reposed in this great institution of our state. The act also brings culture of honesty to the fore that the Bank has nurtured all along its journey," said the visibly delighted owner of the pouch.
To honour this act of vigil and uprightness, the Bank has decided to award letter of appreciation to Mohammad Aslam Khan along with a cash reward of Rs 5000.
