J&K Bank dismisses official, lodges FIR
In response to a report that appeared in a section of press today, J&K Bank clarifies that the Bank has dismissed the official namely Kuldeep Raina who was involved in the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 5,85,500/- .The bank has also lodged FIR against the said official with P/S Kishtwar and has already recovered the embezzled amount from the him.
The report in a section of the press claiming that police has detected a fraud of `Rs.40 lacs and recovered Rs.10 Lacs is far from the truth. And there was no police raid on the business unit and no record has been seized by the police in this regard.
Notably, in order to restore the faith and confidence of the account holders, the bank has already compensated them by crediting the entire amount claimed by them in their respective accounts. It's also clarified that no other official of the bank was involved in the episode.
