J&K Bank dedicates park to people at Anantnag <BR><i>Bank aims at huge expansion to create employment avenues - Chairman</i>

The initiative to develop and maintain parks, which forms an important segment of our Corporate Social responsibility, is aimed at providing means of entertainment to the people of the state.
This was stated by Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman & CEO, J&K Bank in his address to a large gathering of people soon after he dedicated Rani Bagh, the picturesque park developed and maintained by J&K Bank, to the people of Anantnag today. Notably, with Ranibagh, the number of parks developed and maintained by J&K Bank has moved up to nine. The inauguration was done in presence of Parvez Ahmad, Bank's Executive
President, while others present on the occasion included Nisar Hussain, Additional District Development Commissioner Anantnag, M S Wani, Bank's President, Ashiq Hussain Zaidi, Bank's Zonal Head for Kashmir South and R.K Jaalla, SSP Anantnag.
Revealing the Bank's expansion plan, Chairman said that J&K Bank is planning to reach out to the remotest areas and unbanked segments of the state by pursuing a massive expansion plan for next three years.
"We plan to open 100 more branches during the current fiscal and shall soon be advertising the posts of 400 plus Relationship Executives", he announced. The expansion apart from benefitting the bank, will enhance economic activity by increased circulation of money, generate employment avenues and improve economic empowerment of individuals.
Mushtaq said that Bank had worked out a comprehensive strategy to bring into fold of finance more and more fruit growers to discourage informal channels of financing which will in turn result in arresting the trend of exploitation of growers. "Under our recently launched Apple Project, we have identified major apple producing segments and districts to ensure maximum credit infusion in terms of both physical as well as sectoral aspects", he said.
Besides, credit dispensation to other priority sectors like agriculture, education and micro-credit will also be focused with conviction to ensure we retain the title of leaders of credit dispensation within
J&K state. Parvez Ahmad, Executive President of the bank, in his address said the J&K Bank believes in concept of shared business dividends. "We believe J&K Bank's growth is directly proportional to the financial soundness
and social and economic empowerment of the people." He said, "Environmental protection, promotion of sports, education, health and heritage preservation continues to be our priorities while framing annual CSR budgets".
Speaking on the occasion Nisar Hussain, Additional DDC Anantnag hailed the role of J&K Bank in economic development of the state and people-friendly initiatives like revival of parks, preservation of heritage, promotion of culture and sports.
