J&K Bank dedicates 4 more ATMs to public convenience : Div. Com Kashmir hails Bank's commitment & dedication
J&K Bank is doing a commendable job by serving people with commitment and dedication. The bank provides financial support to people through its hassle frees credit delivery schemes and has been doing so in extreme conditions.
This was stated by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon while inaugurating the bank's ATM at Tankippora near DC Office Srinagar in presence of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mehraj-ud-din Kakroo and JK Bank Zonal Head Kashmir (Central) Abdul Hamid Banday here today.
Divisional Commissioner also commended the role of Khidmat Centers established by the Bank in providing utility services to people particularly in isolated places.
Zonal Head Abdul Hamid Banday thanked distinguished guests for their wholehearted support.
The bank, with a view to make basic banking services conveniently accessible to common people, threw open 3 more ATMs in north Kashmir at Singhpora, Pattan, Langate, Handwara and Delina, Baramulla. Overall 4 ATMs were inaugurated today. A good number of senior citizens, valuable customers and local residents were also present at the inaugural functions.
The 2nd ATM today was pressed into public service today at Singhpora, Pattan. Haji Habibullah Lone, a senior citizen and the first customer of the branch inaugurated the ATM in the presence of then (first) branch manager, Tafazal Hussain who is now President of the bank. G A Regoo, president of the bank was also present on the occasion.
Besides, Zonal Head (South) Nazir Ahmad Parimoo, Cluster Head Ghulam Rasool Hakim, Branch Head Arshad Qureshi and a few day-one customers of the branch including Haji Ghulam Ahmad Malik, Haji Hafizullah;, Gulzar Ahmad, Abdul Rashid etc. A good gathering of people also attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Tafazal said, "We are very conscious of the immense trust that people of the state have reposed in us and that truly is exemplary."
We are, he said, committed to the mission of economic empowerment of all the sections of society that also translates into their social well-being.
He said that he had a special attachment with branch as he was the first branch manager of the branch opened in the year 1981.
He stressed upon the people to inculcate habit of saving and urged them to take benefit of various schemes tailored by the bank for each segment of people. "The bank has also tailored various schemes for different sectors like horticulture, agriculture, artisan sectors etc, and people should take advantage of these finance schemes," he said and further added that unemployed youth should take up self employment ventures and for that J&K Bank is offering them various employment generation schemes.
He also expressed hope that the bank's business would cross the milestone of 1 lac crore as envisioned by its leadership in the next two years.
The people of the area hailed the services rendered by the bank.
J&K Bank President G A Regoo inaugurated the Inaugurating the 3rd ATM at Delina, Baramulla in presence of President J&K Bank Tafazal Husain, Zonal Head Nazir Ahmad Parimoo, Cluster Head Ghulam Rasool and Branch Head Delina Lateef Ahmad Chisti. A good gathering of local traders, valuable customers and senior citizens also attended the function.
Addressing the gathering present on the occasion, he said, "The bank has taken technology enabled banking and financial services to the people of geographically isolated areas and made them part of global connectivity".
He further said that the bank would usher in a financial revolution in the state. Referring to the recently revised JK Bank Apple Advance Scheme he said, "Growers and other people associated with trade must come forward and avail the benefits of the scheme for their personal growth and the collective economic growth of fruit industry".
He assured the audience of full financial support from the bank for any and every viable business proposal. Vice President & Zonal Head North Kashmir, M. A. Parimoo inaugurated another ATM at Langate, Handwara amid good gathering of people. The Zonal Head thanked the people for their support and presence on the occasion.
