J&K Bank convenes DLRC meeting in Rajouri
J&K Bank convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting in Rajouri at PWD Dak Bungalow under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Saugat Biswas (IAS). The meeting was attended by AGM RBI Gopal Das, DDO NABARD Des Raj, District officers of line departments and representatives of all the bankers operating in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner impressed upon the bankers and line departments to work in close coordination for upliftment and development of the poor population of the District.
Earlier, J&K Bank Lead District Manager (LDM) Arvind Kapoor briefed the house about the achievement of banks under Annual Credit Plan (2011-12) as on 31st March 2012.
He said, "Against the annual target of Rs.109854 lacs total achievement was Rs.9605 lacs out of which Rs.3788 lacs were disbursed under agriculture sector, Rs.3817 lacs under S.S.I sector, Rs.723 Lacs under Micro Credit, Rs.41 lacs under Education and Rs.1236 lacs under housing sector."
The deposits in the district have increased to Rs 1509 crore from Rs 1231 crore and advances have grown to Rs 350 cr from Rs 309 cr (YOY) with CD ratio at 23.17%, he added.
During the deliberations, special emphasis was made on Kissan Credit Card Scheme.
Also present on the occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer informed the house that the total number of eligible farmers in the District was 68700.
The deadline for the department to forward sponsorship of such cases to banks was ending July 2012 and for bankers to provide the card to farmer was ending September 2012.
Two committees were framed in the meeting to Chalk out monitor able action plan to enhance CD Ratio of the District to 40% as directed by Governor RBI and to Prepare District Financial Plan.
