"J&K Bank is a conscious Corporate Citizen" : 7 computers donated to school in Anantnag
Conscious of its Corporate Social responsibility, J&K Bank donated seven computer systems to a local school in Anantnag at a simple but impressive function yesterday.
Presided over by B A Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, the function was attended by Bank's Zonal Head for South Kashmir B.A. Lone, Cluster Head G.M. Rather, Imtiyaz Hussaini, branch head T P Anantnag, senior citizens of the town, traders and businessmen and staff and students of Islamia Hanfia Institute. Notably, Islamia Hanfia Institute provides education to the students from poor economic background at nominal fee and in some cases free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion B A Khan lauded the role of the Bank as a conscious corporate citizen. "J&K Bank has added a new dimension to the concept of CSR. From developing parks and nurturing entrepreneurship to donating computers, providing scholarships and taking heritage preservation initiatives, J&K Bank has made a mark in the socio-psychological fabric of the state of Jammu and Kashmir", Khan emphasized.
Zonal Head B A Lone in his address reiterated the Bank's commitment of to contribute, in whatever way it can, in upliftment of downtrodden & economically weaker sections. He also highlighted the various schemes launched by the bank for different sectors including the facilities made available to the students for pursuing higher studies. He further said that the Bank is emerging as a strong "Socioeconomic Movement" in the state of J&K and shall continue to serve the people of country in general & state in particular.
