Customer needs, aspirations and satisfaction are of utmost importance. So, for every business and commercial company, the customer convenience is the main concern and the goal should be to achieve customers' delight. This was stated by J&K Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mushtaq Ahmad, while launching Metlife India's ‘Met Smart Software' and ‘Met Group Savings Plan' in presence of Managing Director, MetLife India Rajesh Relan, at a grand function in Jammu today.

Met Smart is a unique single window interface that empowers all J&K Bank branches to access renewal premium notices and receipts, fund value statement for unit linked products, on-line pending status of new business applications, all production reports and copies of counter offer and requirement letters.
With Met Smart, all these would be easily accessible within the J&K Bank branch network. Notices or receipts can be printed and handed over across the counter to the policyholders at J&K Bank branches leading to a significant improvement in convenience and quality of service to all customers.
Met Group Savings Plan is a customized product designed especially for the customers of J&K Bank. It is an affordable and convenient plan in which the premiums start from as low as Rs. 100. The plan provides both protection and savings to the customer. It offers guaranteed sum assured in addition to bonuses on maturity or in the case of any eventuality.
While commenting on the introduction of Met Smart Software, Mushtaq Ahmad expressed hope that this innovative system will achieve customers' delight while addressing multiple issues and expectation of customers and resolve the same spontaneously.
While referring to the new product - Met Group Savings Plan – he said, "This is a first product of its kind which we can aggressively market particularly in the rural areas, as the premium under this scheme is as low as Rs.100, with no up-front charges to be paid by the customer."
"I have been told that this low cost product primarily aimed at targeting low income groups is one of the innovative traditional products and will definitely build long term relationship with the customers," he said and added that this product will strengthen our financial inclusion mission, as we can penetrate in such areas where even concept of insurance is yet to reach. "Rural masses cannot go for high premium plans. We have an opportunity to reach rural masses, give them insurance cover, at affordable cost, in a simplified and hassle free manner," he said.
He hoped that MetLife India Insurance Co Ltd will achieve business in terms of approved business plan, record annual profits, introduce innovative, hassle free products to target diversified target groups and emerge one of the strong Insurance giant in the country.
He assured that J&K Bank will always endeavour to perform its contributory role within all possible limits in conformity to mutual arrangement and regulatory scope.
Earlier, speaking on the occasion Rajesh Relan, MD – MetLife India said, "Out of the life insurance business of 376 crores mobilized by the bank so far, 76% of it has come during the last three years, which speaks about the growth of business during these years.
He said, "'Met Smart' is yet another differentiation offered by MetLife to its Bancaassurance partners. Operational Excellence is one of the strategic pillars that will help us achieve our vision to enhance ‘Ease of Sales and Service' for our J&K Bank customers. Recognizing this as our focus area, we are introducing ‘Met Smart' with J&K Bank that will strengthen our Bancaassurance servicing capability. It will ensure that we provide best-in-class customer service to our customers as we continue to grow our partnership with J&K Bank".
