J&K Bank begins registration for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2012
J&K Bank has started registration for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2012. J&K Bank President & Zonal Head Jammu (Central) O P Sharma formally inaugurated the registration process from Bank's counter at Residency Road, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said, "The Bank is committed towards various social causes and peoples' convenience."
He added that the registration will be strictly on ‘First Come, First Serve' basis on any day of yatra. The Yatris will be registered for the Yatra through 121 centres of the Bank spread across the country."
For yatris desirous of seeking online registration, e-registration facilities are also available on bank's website at http://yatra.jkbank.net.
A total of 3305 permits per day per route will be issued totaling about 2, 54, 485 bookings for the Yatra.
In Jammu division, the registration facilities shall also be available at the Bank's Business Units in Bakshi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kathua Main, Udhampur, Ramban, Rajouri Main, Poonch and Doda Main.
An average of 280 yatris will be registered through these branches per day with 140 each for Baltal & Pahalgam routes.
The timing of registration will be after normal banking hours between 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on all working days. However, on Saturdays it will from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
