J&K Bank ATM tally reaches 100 in valley
Continuing with its aim to provide better services, two more ATMs of the J&K Bank were inaugurated at Raj Bagh and Lal Mandi here today. Amidst huge customer presence, Nasir Ahmed Wani, MLA Amira Kadal constituency, inaugurated the ATMs in presence of bank's president Parvez Ahmed and Vice-President Khurshid A Pandit.With this the total ATM strength of the bank bounced to 215 while the number of ATMs in valley touched 100.
Speaking on the occasion MLA, Nasir A Wani said, "J&K Bank has always played a pivotal role in the overall development of the state besides empowering the people of the state economically."
He sought J&K Bank's support in eradicating the menace of unemployment, which the state is badly facing. "J&K Bank has designed various products towards boosting education, handicrafts and other economic activities of the state. But the challenges of unemployment are severe and need a joint effort from the Bank and the government with due support from the people", he said.
Lauding the Bank's recent economic relief package to provide succor to the people of the state Nasir said that such initiatives are always welcome. Expressing hope that people would take full benefit of the package Nasir said, "Relaxation in rates of interest on the advances, rehabilitation of sick industrial units and other financial respites and add ons, will surely help compensate the business loss that we had last year due to unavoidable circumstances".
Appreciating Bank's endeavor to leverage technology for better customer services and hassle free procedures, Nasir said that a huge network of ATMs of the J&K Bank across the state, and even the country has reinforced peoples trust in this prestigious institution of the state.
In his address Parvez Ahmed thanked Nasir for having spared time to inaugurate the ATMs. "His presence reflects the strong intent and resolve of the representatives of the newly elected government to patronize, support and encourage the initiatives aimed at development and improving the service standard and life quality of the people of the J&k state". He further said that expansion of ATM network especially in the state augurs well with Bank's vision of regional base, national presence and international standards.
