J&K Bank ATM at Main Bazar Sopore inaugurated
While strengthening its network of ATMs in the state, J&K Bank dedicated its 254th ATM to the public at four way crossing, Main Bazar Sopore yesterday. The inauguration was done by the District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Lateef-u-Zaman Deva., who was chief guest on the occasion. It is 4th and 19th in the North Zone of Kashmir. People of different walks of life attended the inaugural function.
The district development commissioner, Lateef-u-Zaman while speaking on the occasion lauded the commendable job done by the J&K Bank in the economic development of the state, said, "The J&K Bank kept all banking activities alive during the period when other banks had turned their back towards the public and provided huge financial support to the people. A team of bank officials is working hard to reach to the public to listen to them. Meetings with the customers and different representative bodies of business community of the area for their views and valuable suggestions have now become a regular feature."
Mr Deva further stated Bank has particularly renewed its philosophy of working during the period of Mr. Drabu, Chairman & CEO, by focusing mainly on J&K which in the history of the Bank has happened first time & is paying good dividends to both public as well as to the Bank. He stated that Mr. Drabu deserves appreciation for this contribution. Ab. Hamid Banday, the Vice President of the J&K Bank for North Zone Kashmir told on this occasion, that it is our endeavor to get the technological services of this zone at par with other zones in the country. "Initially we have put seven branches of Sopore town on core banking solution. Services like RTGS/ NEFT/ e-banking are also available to the customers," said Mr. Abdul Hamid Banday.
He also announced that the bank is dedicating 5 more ATMs and extending depository services in the area very shortly. He also stated that Bank for greater customer convenience is building its own Zonal Complex at Amargarah (Sopore) shortly.
The Vice President thanked Chief guest and different Government agencies for their active support and cooperation in rendering various hassle free services to the people.
