JK Bank ATM at Ganderbal
J&K Bank added one more ATM to its network when it made its 191st such machine operational in Ganderbal district yesterday. This is the first ATM in the district, taking the number of ATMs of the Bank in Kashmir to 75.The ATM was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister for Rural Development and Forests, Mr. Qazi Mohammad Afzal at an impressive function. President of the J&K Bank Mr. Najam-ud-din Simnani, Vice President Central Kashmir Zone, Mr. Sahibzada Gh. Mohi-ud-Din, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Mr. Gh. Nabi Boda, several intellectuals and hundreds of customers of the Bank were present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Qazi Mohammad Afzal hailed the role of J&K Bank in overall development of the State and more so its efforts in strengthening and boosting the rural economy of the State.
Mr. N. D. Samnani said that the Bank is highly concerned in providing hassle free services to its customers. "With a view to provide greater convenience and alternate channels to the customers, the bank has launched a slew of IT initiatives. The bank has so far issued over 2.70 lacs debit cards. We are committed to extend banking services to our customer through state-of-the-art technology even in remote areas of the State," said Mr. Samnani. Mr. Sahibzada in his welcome address stressed the need for educating the rural people about the Bank's tailor made products and services so that Bank's vigorous efforts find their way and slogan of "Serving to Empower" finds a real path.
