JK Bank annual report wins 3 Vision Awards in US
J&K Bank's Annual Report 2008-09 has won three awards at the prestigious LACP 2009 Vision Awards – the world's largest award programme for Annual Reports, organised by California-based League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), USA.
The LACP is a forum within the public relations industry that facilitates discussion of best-in-class practices in public relations and recognizes exemplary communication capabilities at a global level.
The awards received include – Rank 73 on the Top Hundred list of annual reports from around the world, Platinum Award in the Commercial Banks – Upto $10billon annual revenue from the Asia Pacific Region and Silver Award for Most Creative Report across all sectors from the Asia Pacific Region.
Making a comment on the report, one of the LACP judges observed, "It's safe to say that this report offers some of the highest production values found in any report this year. We were impressed from beginning to end...and that takes a lot! Outstanding".
Remarkably, the J&K Bank Annual Report 2008-09 achieved a cumulative score of 98/100 on parameters such as first impression, report cover, letter to shareholders, report narrative, report financials, creativity, message clarity and information accessibility.
Overall there were over 4000 entries for the 2009 Vision Awards with submissions from more than 25 countries. Commenting on the awards Dr. Haseeb Drabu, Chairman and CE, J&K Bank said, "We received global acclaim from all stakeholders who received this report. This award reinforces our commitment to transparency and proactive reporting, so that stakeholders can gain insights into our performance and strategy. An honour such as this at the global stage demonstrates our adherence to the world-standard in all what we do, including our financial communication". It is pertinent to mention that the J&K Bank Annual Report 2008-09 titled as ‘Global Maladies, Local Remedies' showcased the efforts of the J&K Bank to provide localised solutions to the global slowdown. The report carried stories featuring craftsmen and their families from Kashmir and contextualised their requirements in the global environment, together with the response of the Bank.
The report also detailed the initiatives of the Bank across all corporate functions and provided in-depth data and analysis relating to the performance of the Bank.
