Fruit Growers Meet in Apple Town: JK Bank launches new Apple Advance Scheme
Continuing with its thrust on product innovation and improved customer relationship, the J&K Bank today unveiled its New Apple Advance Scheme in a customer meet arranged in Sopore. The meeting which was presided over by Mr. Nisar Ahmed Ahmed Koul, President Advances and Asset Management witnessed participation of hundreds of fruit growers of the twin districts of Baramulla and Kupwara.
The purpose of introducing the New Apple Advace Scehme, as Mr Koul said, was to do away with the unwanted cluster of intermediaries and reframe the finance as per the growing inflation. "J&K Bank feels that financing agricultural and horticultural activities will contribute to the overall development of the state. Besides, owing to more than 50% of the agri-land being under apple cultivation, it provides an opportunity to cater to a vast segment of our customers' needs", said Mr Koul while emphasizing that J&K Bank was a peoples' bank and it was committed to serve the people of the state.
Saying that Scheme had been devised in a way that customers get the finance facility in a hassle-free manner, Mr. Koul stressed that documentation had been extremely simplified and "the precedence to get the loan adjusted before renewal had been eased to the extent that it would now be a sort of revolving type facility."The scheme also carries an added segment of post-harvest maintenance assistance. The fruit growers present on the occasion were overwhelmed by the J&K Bank's initiative terming it a step in the right direction. "It is good to see J&K Bank strengthening its ties with the people of the state especially its customers" said growers.
