Bajaj Allianz launches Drive-in-Centre ‘Claim and get the cheque in 24 hours'
What could be regarded as a major leap in the state's insurance sector, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd (BAGICL) today launched a unique service "Bajaj Allianz Drive In Centre (BADIC)" aimed at 24-hour claim disposal of the small motor claims.
President J&K Bank G A Regoo formally launched BADIC, the highly specialized service introduced for the first time in the state, at a simple but impressive function organized at a local hotel.
Describing the service as significant, Mr. Regoo termed the service exceptionally customer friendly. "Its pre-paid claim settlement feature that too within 24 hours, shall empower the insured to negotiate directly with the repairer of his choice, thereby, getting him the best value for money", he revealed.
The service shall cover small motor claims up to Rs.20000/= besides limiting the role and influence of the repairer in claim settlement process.
"In case of damage, the insured just needs to inform us. An assessor will be dispatched to assess the loss. On the basis of that report, case would be processed for settlement within a timeline of 24 hours. Eventually the customer would be handed over a cheque and it is then his discretion as to where he would get his vehicle repaired", said Aijaz Ahmed, Area Manager Bajaj Allianz informed the gathering, adding "this shall mean that customers no longer need to produce bills. We will pay upfront on assessment."
Emphasizing on the need to penetrate the insurance market, Mr. Regoo urged the Bajaj Allianz authorities to devise more customer-friendly and hassle free products to outperform their competitors. "Improved services, better products, hassle-free claim servicing and reduced premium rates are key to grab the maximum market share as far as insurance sector is concerned", Regoo emphasized.
Stating that it was the people's confidence in J&K Bank that made customers to insure with Bajaj, Mr. Regoo insisted on higher levels of customer convenience to ward off the fears of customers.
Pertinently, Mr. Regoo handed over cheques to two claimants insured with the Bajaj. "After meeting the accident, I registered my claim only yesterday and I felt delighted today on receiving the call that my cheque was ready. It is wonderful to see such a quick and hassle-free service being delivered in Kashmir. Thanks to J&k Bank, thanks to Bajaj Allianz", said Mubashir Shabir who had insured with the Bajaj and had made the claim just the previous day.
