ATMs Raining in Valley - J&K Bank installs two more
Two more Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of J&K Bank were inaugurated today at Lal Bazar & Qamarwari taking the number to 216 across the country and 102 in Kashmir valley. The ATM at Lal Bazar was inaugurated by MLA Zadibal Peer Afaq Ahmed while Masood Samoon, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir inaugurated the machine at Qamarwari. Pervez Ahmed, President J&K Bank was present at the inauguration of both ATMs.
Speaking after the inauguration at Lal Bazar, MLA Peer Afaq thanked J&K Bank on behalf of people of the area for providing this hi-tech service to the area. Appreciating J&K Bank's efforts Peer Afaq said " Our state is incomplete without J&K Bank and irrespective of any government in the power J&K Bank has always been at the forefront of providing relief and succor to the people of state." He also lauded the role of J&K Bank in helping the government to fight the menace of unemployment by not only providing the jobs to educated youth but also by developing the schemes which are very beneficial to unemployed youth. He further urged the youth to take full advantage of the Bank's products and services.
Following the inauguration of ATM at Qamarwari, Masood Samoon hailed the role of J&K Bank in effectively addressing the economic concerns of the people of the state. Describing the recently unveiled J&K Bank Economic Relief Package as a wonderful initiative, Samoon said that it has been extremely well taken owing to its perfect timing. "It is always good to see J&K Bank coming up to the expectations of the people. It is the only Bank operating in the state that has earned trust of the people. The Package is timely in the sense that economic recession demanded such a concrete gesture from the Bank," Samood said. He urged the Bank authorities to widen their ATM network in other towns also to provide this hi-tech facility to the people.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Parvez Ahmad, President, Kashmir Central Zone said that the opening of ATMs reflect a strong commitment and desire on the part of Bank's management to expand its reach, particularly in J&K state and upgrade its quality of customer service in a cost effective manner. He further added that J&K Bank has invested around Rs. 200 crore in Information Technology and is all set to leverage the investment for Business Development and Processes and to provide international quality financial services and solutions to customers of the Bank. Mr. Parvez also expressed his thanks and gratitude to Hon'ble MLA, Zadibal – Jenab Peer Afaq Ahmad and Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir - Mr. Masood Samoon for sparing their valuable time to inaugurate the ATMs at Lal Bazar and Parimpora respectively and encouraging and patronizing the Bank's Management and Customers. Pertinent to mention here two ATMs of the bank were inaugurated yesterday at Rajbagh & Lal Mandi.
