3rd Sher-i-Kashmir Football Gold Cup J&K Bank to clash with J&K Police in the final
Two archrivals of the state football J&K Bank and J&K Police will clash in the final of 3rdSheri- Kashmir Gold Cup Football tournament at Jammu.
Defending Champions of the tournament J&K Bank stormed in to the final by beating Young Hero's Jammu by six goals to one in a one-sided encounter of the first semifinal at GGM Science College Jammu, while as in a tight-finish second semi-final J&K Police defeated J&K Forest in tie-breaker by 4-2 to reach to the final.
In the first semifinal, Bank team showed their complete dominance in the entire match by scoring four goals in the first half through Sheikh Rizwan in the 8th minute, Bilal Ahmad in the 17th and 32nd minute and Hanief in the 26th minute.
Making all the due changes in the first half, the team preferred to give chance to its youngsters. The team strengthened its lead in the second half by scoring two more goals to assure its berth in to the final. Meanwhile Young Hero's Jammu converted a penalty into goal in the second half .
Earlier at the same venue Bank team defeated JK Police B in the first quarterfinal match by three goals to nil. Bilal, Rizwan and Thapa were the scorers in the first half.
