294th ATM : J&K Bank opens ATM at Greater Kailash, Jammu
Expanding the hassle-free payment mechanism further, J&K Bank Thursday opened one more ATM at Greater Kailash taking the Jammu tally to 76.
Ashok Mehta, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer (COO) J&K Bank inaugurated the ATM here amid a simple but impressive gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mehta said, "The bank has embarked upon an ambitious plan of revolutionizing the banking operations through effective technological interventions in various areas to ensure customer convenience." Besides the state-of-the-art technology for efficient delivery mechanism, the bank provides the necessary back up through personalized services so that the customers really feel enriched after their interactions with the staff at various touch-points, Mr. Mehta added. He informed the gathering that from 10000 transactions per month in 2002, the number of monthly transactions on ATMs has gone up to 20 lacs involving an amount around 15 Crores per day. He further said that the bank has a plan of introducing a chip supported passbook system and more of such e-banking initiatives to remain ahead of its competitors.
Earlier, Mr. Madan Gupta, Vice President, Jammu (Central) also spoke about the transformation of the banking services provided by the Bank in terms of utilizing various technological interfaces. He advised the people to take the maximum benefit of these facilities.
The people including businessmen, traders, professionals and other senior citizens appreciated the initiative of the bank. Sunil Gupta, Business Cluster Head II presented the vote of thanks.
