14 local students passed ISCI Company Secretary Exams
Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) today declared results in which 14 students (6 from Foundation, 6 from Executive and 2 from Professional Programme) qualified from the Srinagar chapter of the institute.
The examinations for the Dec 2010 session were held from 26 December 2010 to Jan 2 2011.
Commenting upon the results and performance of the Srinagar Chapter of ICSI, its chairman Parvez Ahamd, who is also President and Secretary of J&K Bank said, "The objective of reviving the Srinagar chapter and the examination centre was to address the genuine difficulties faced by the students and their parents after the closure of the chapter and examination centre in the year 1988.
The revival of the chapter and the examination center, he said, provides an equal opportunity to the student community of the valley interested in pursuing Company Secretary-ship course and enables them to show their talent and potential in the corporate world besides lending the professional support to the local business community to manage their business affairs efficiently and effectively."
Notably, Srinagar chapter of ICSI was revived on 2nd October 2005after a gap of 17 years. Since then the chapter is providing oral coaching at S P College Srinagar and conducting exams at Kashmir University.
