J&K Bank conducts Anantnag DLRC Meet Srinagar

To review the performance of banks and line departments in Anantnag district for the third quarter of current financial year under District Credit Plan - 2021-22, J&K Bank today conducted a District Level Review cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) meeting that was chaired by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla (IAS) at Dak Bungalow Anantnag. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, DDM NABARD, Cluster Heads & Senior Officers of J&K Bank, District Heads of all other banks and line departments.

Welcoming the members, LDM Anantnag Shariq Mehraj informed the house that the banks have disbursed Rs.1767.67 Cr in the district among 71619 beneficiaries till December 31, 2021. Out of this, an amount of Rs 708.61 Cr involving 41000 beneficiaries and Rs 322.55 Cr for 7693 beneficiaries have been disbursed in Agriculture & MSME sectors respectively under priority sector lending.

He also said that the total deposits and advances of the District have been recorded at Rs 6627.24 Cr and Rs 4740.87 Cr respectively with CD Ratio of 71.54 %. During the Quarter, 113 candidates have been trained at the Bank’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI).

Speaking on the occasion, DDC Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla directed the line departments and Banks to work in coordination for the economic development of the district. Given the fact that the situation arising out of the pandemic has eased out, DDC directed the line departments to impart offline trainings to beneficiaries through the Bank’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Anantnag. The FLCC coordinator was advised to conduct camps in rural areas and educational institutions (Govt./Private) in the district for benefit of the students.

While urging the banks to ensure pendency in sponsoring cases is cleared on war footing, he advised all banks and sponsoring agencies to join hands so that the unemployed youth are guided properly and provided full support in getting their livelihood.

Meanwhile, the stellar performance of district under PMEGP Scheme was appreciated wherein the achievements have been manifold when compared with the earlier years.
