J&K Bank conducts Financial Literacy Camp in Akhnoor

J&K Bank conducted a Financial Literacy Camp in Akhnoor, Jammu to impart knowledge to the people of the area regarding various banking services and products including the digital ones offered by it. The bank’s Business Unit (BU) Chowki Chaura organized the camp in collaboration with the Digital Strategy and Business Acquisition Department, and Marketing Team of Zonal Office Jammu (Central I).
Valuable customers of the bank, prominent traders and businessmen of the area, and senior citizens were also present on the occasion.
Officials from the Marketing and Business Acquisition Department informed the people about the benefits of social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) besides explaining their claim process. They educated the people regarding the importance of seeding Aadhaar and mobile numbers to their saving bank accounts.
The officers from the Digital Strategy and Marketing Department educated the participants about the benefits of digital banking and cashless economy. The team elaborated upon the digital products available in the bank such as Debit cards, Credit Cards, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, BHIM UPI, and POS etc. Measures regarding prevention of various frauds related to digital banking and conducting secure online transactions were also discussed on the occasion. Pamphlets depicting the interest rates on loan schemes and various digital products offered by the bank were also distributed.
The team also sensitized the participants about various products under schematic lending such as Kissan Credit Card, Tractor Loan, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, car loan, education loan etc. that are available on EMIs with quite competitive interest rates.
Thanking the participants for sparing their valuable time, Business Unit Head Chowki Chaura, Thakur Dass, concluded the camp by presenting a vote of thanks.
