J&K Bank CMD visits Poonch, reviews BUs

J&K Bank Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Rajesh Kumar Chhibber paid a visit to Poonch and inspected various Business Units (BUs) of the district to review their performance regarding efficient delivery of customer service.

During interaction with staff, the Chairman sensitized the staff about the importance of efficient customer services and the requisite diligence while dealing with the clients from varied backgrounds. He also sought feedback from the staff for better delivery of the services.

CMD had meeting with Rahul Yadav (IAS) Deputy Commissioner, Poonch and discussed various issues concerning the local people. CMD assured Deputy Commissioner that bank will provide banking facility to unbanked areas, particularly closer LOC.

Later, addressing a joint gathering of entire staff of Poonch District and valuable clients of the district, the CMD issued on-spot directions for resolution of various customer queries besides obtaining valuable feedback enabling the bank to continue dispense its top-end banking services.

Replying to the queries of the clients, the CMD assured that the bank is in the process of expanding its services network into the unbanked and remote areas of J&K including that of Rajouri and Poonch districts.

“Financial Inclusion, being an effective tool and a conduit for ushering in socio-economic development, forms one of the foundations of the bank’s engagement with rural and far-off places.”

The CMD informed the stakeholders of a robust performance expected in the near-term and asserted that the bank continues to remain on the path of progress.

The CMD paid a visit to and interacted with the staff at Zonal Office Jammu (West) Rajouri, BU ChowkiChowra, BU Sunderbani, BU Loharakote, BU Bhambla and BU Balshama during the visit.

Notably no CMD has visited the border town for the last more than three decades.
