J&K Bank organizes monthly DLRC/DCC review meet in Baramulla

J&K Bank conducted a monthly District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting of the district to review the progress made under various sectors of economy during the current fiscal under the annual District Credit Plan (DCP) for the financial year 2019-20.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo chaired the DLRC/DCC meeting, organised by the bank’s Baramulla Lead Bank office and attended by the representatives of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), other banks operating in the district and various line departments.

Lead District Manager (LDM) Baramulla Shamim Ahmad Haji informed the house that the district had recorded an achievement of Rs 1142.04 Cr against the revised annual target of Rs 3318.48 Cr as laid down in the credit plan during the second quarter of the financial year, wherein 36687 beneficiaries from the district were benefited through various schemes.
Giving a sector-wise break-up of the achievements, the LDM informed the gathering that against the revised annual target of Rs 1915.66 Cr, an achievement of Rs 511.91 Cr was made in the agriculture sector during the quarter under review in the district.

Under MSME Sector, an achievement of Rs 121.17 Cr was recorded against the annual target of Rs 518.04 Cr. The Service Sector and Non-Priority Sector recorded an achievement of Rs 88.15 Cr and Rs 420.80 Cr against the target of Rs 302.49 Cr and Rs 582.29 Cr respectively, he added.

The Priority Sector Advances of the district stood at Rs 2788.75 Cr, which is 64.71 pc of the total Advances with the CD ratio of the district at 83.35 Pc as on September 30, 2019.
Chairman DLRC/DCC advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation, coordination and cohesion for the development and progress of the area and to achieve the desired financial goals besides helping generate employment for the youth of the district.

He also directed all the line departments and banks to conduct programs at village and block levels to generate proper financial awareness among the people.
