Need to be proactive and firm to compete with peers: CMD

Besides nurturing the businesses of its customers across the country especially outside the state, J&K Bank continues to dispense the best-in-class services prudently as a competitive bank besides a need-based and innovative product suite.

J&K Bank Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Rajesh Kumar Chhibber stated this while chairing several customers meets in the bank’s Delhi and Mohali zones attended by the valuable customers of the bank, senior citizens, and members of various trade and business communities. The bank’s Vice President (Supervision & Control) Imtiyaz Hussaini, Zonal Head Anil Deep Mehta, and Heads of Business Units in the zones also were present on these occasion.

Interacting with the customers of the zones, the CMD reassured all the stakeholders that the bank was in safe hands and overseen by professional board of directors.
“The bank has a strong governance framework and continues to enrich the experience of customers through an ever-evolving product suite and services especially through the digital platforms”, the Chairman said.

“While operating in the rest-of-India, our strategy is to provide the state-of-the-art banking infrastructure, products and schemes that are tailored to suit the individual, niche industry needs besides best-in-class and personalised customer services”, he added.

The customers raised some issues during these meetings which were addressed on-the-spot by the chair. While acknowledging the important role of J&K Bank, the customers from both the zones thanked the CMD for the initiatives undertaken by the bank and requested him to conduct such interactions regularly.

Furthermore, while taking a review of the business performance of the zones for the second quarter of the current fiscal, the CMD advised the Heads of Business Units of both the zones to consider and present themselves as brand ambassadors of the bank and exhibit professionalism in marketing banking products in right mix to maximize the profit.
Encouraging his staff to seize opportunities proactively, Chairman exhorted, “Given the size of our country’s growing economy, there are huge opportunities waiting out there for a bank like us to seize and capitalise upon; particularly in specialised niche markets and digital financial domains. All you need to be is proactive and firm in your resolve to compete with your peers, the results of which I believe will get reflected soon in our business numbers from outside J&K.”

Thanking the bank management for their continued support and guidance, the Business Unit Heads assured the CMD that they will carry forward the bank’s mission by putting in their best efforts to increase profits and help the bank scale the summits of success.
